Happy Nurses Week! This week we celebrate our nurses on staff at RWHC. They hold a variety of roles at our organization, from nurse educators to managing programs that support hospitals and care teams across the state. Many of them still work at the bedside as well!

Thank you for the expertise, leadership, and heart you bring to improving healthcare in rural Wisconsin. We’re proud to celebrate you this week and every week.

Shout out to Barb and Sandi who are also RWHC Employees! Happy Occupational Therapy month ladies. Thank you for all you do!

Occupational therapy helps people return to work—but even more importantly, it helps them return to living fully and engaging in their daily activities. This team is dedicated to meeting each patient where they are and supporting them on their journey to where they want to be. Thank you to our OTs for always putting patients first!

Reedsburg Area Medical Center Nurse Sarah is a prime example of the selflessness that is at the core of rural nursing. We are so grateful for the sacrifices our rural nurses make everyday to care for our communities. 💛

Sarah Celeste, Registered Nurse in the Birth Center, was recently recognized for Going Beyond the Expected. She was nominated by Megan Haas and Jess Ritchart.

Megan and Jess wrote - “Sarah had plans in the afternoon of her scheduled weekend shift, so she had Jess coming in to cover the second half of her shift. Around the time Jess was coming in, we began getting busy on the unit, ultimately leading to a need for extra help. Since Jess was just coming in we had three RN's on the unit, which was perfect timing as we had a patient in need of a resuscitation just as Jess was arriving (along with 3 outpatients coming too). Without hesitation Sarah remained on the unit, not only through the resuscitation, but until all of our patients were settled and taken care of. She completely missed her events that she had planned appropriately to be able to attend. Her sacrifice and dedication to her patients and coworkers is a true testimony of what an incredible blessing Sarah is to our facility and department. Thank you for staying to help, I am so sorry you were not able to attend your family functions. I do not know what we would have done without you, we appreciate you so much.”

Thank you for all you do, Sarah!
