❓How long have you been training at SP Fitness?
✅ I have been training at SP Fitness for about five glorious years. My groom and I initially signed up when SP Fitness was at it's previous physical location
❓Can you list your achievements with training thus far?
✅Over the years, I have accomplished so much in my fitness journey — completing multiple running events including 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, and a full marathon, while also hitting personal records in heavy lifting. What makes these achievements even more meaningful is the life I was navigating alongside them. I experienced the unexpected loss of my father in 2022, expanded my family, trained through pregnancy, and pushed through postpartum fitness — all while honoring where I was in each season of life. Through every challenge and transition, I gave myself grace and simply kept showing up. And that, more than anything, has been my greatest achievement.
❓What do you love about training at SP Fitness?
✅ What I love most about training at SP Fitness is the deep sense of belonging and community. As a mixed-race woman of faith, I feel genuinely welcomed by both staff and members alike — and I love seeing how diverse the gym staff and members are. The staff feel like family who truly care about your overall wellbeing, and the morning crew is consistently encouraging and inspiring. I am also deeply honored to have received Member of the Month — it was completely unexpected and never something I was striving for, which made it all the more meaningful. I feel incredibly blessed and grateful.
❓What is your favorite exercise?
✅ My favorite exercises focus on legs and glutes. My top three are hip thrusters, sumo squats, and leg presses, which together make for an effective and
❓What is your least favorite exercise?
✅ — going from avoiding them entirely at the start of the year to successfully completing two dead hang pull-ups, which is something I’m really proud of.
