Taste. Tunes. Togetherness.

A night full of music, dancing, laughter, prizes, great food, and even better company.

Residents, families, friends, staff, volunteers, and community partners came together to celebrate all the ways support, care, and connection can look at The Good Shepherd Community. From Therapy & Activities and the Welcome Center to Memory Care Cottages, Guardian Pharmacy, Bluestone Physicians, and more, the evening was a reminder that no one walks life’s journey alone.

Thank you to the GSC Foundation for creating such a meaningful and fun evening for our community.

Good food on the plates.
Music in the air.
Friends on the dance floor.

Now that sounds like a pretty great night.

An evening filled with Taste, Tunes & Togetherness.

From dancing and laughter to great conversations and new connections, it was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate community and learn more about the continuum of care and support available through The Good Shepherd Community and our incredible partners.

Guests enjoyed a complimentary dinner, live entertainment, prizes, and time spent with friends both old and new. Along the way, many had the opportunity to connect with our teams and partners including Aegis Therapies & Activities, the Welcome Center, Volunteers, Memory Care Cottages, Guardian Pharmacy Services, Bluestone, and more.

A special thank you to the GSC Foundation for bringing this event to life and helping create a night centered around connection, support, and joy.

There may have been a few dance moves that should stay off camera... but the smiles were absolutely worth capturing.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a fun and meaningful evening. This is what togetherness looks like.

Thank you to everyone who placed an order with us during this year’s Foundation Plant Sale by Gertens!

Because of your generosity and support, approximately $5,000 in plant sales was received, with a portion of the proceeds going toward supporting Good Shepherd Community’s greatest needs.

We are especially grateful to the many residents who purchased plants for their apartment homes and raised gardens.

Many of the beautiful plants can also be enjoyed throughout our campus entrances and outdoor amenity areas, helping brighten our community for all to enjoy.

We truly appreciate your support and hope you enjoy your plants all season long!

A little prom magic at The Good Shepherd Community.

Sauk Rapids High School students stopped by in their prom attire to walk the red carpet, do nails, share stories, and spend time with our residents in Skilled Nursing and Memory Care.

The smiles said it all. Thank you to these incredible students for making the day so special.

Prom season brought a little extra sparkle to The Good Shepherd Community this week.

Students from Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools visited our Skilled Nursing Facility and Memory Care Cottages dressed in their prom attire, and our residents absolutely loved it. In Skilled Nursing, the students walked the red carpet with residents and even spent time doing nails and visiting together. It was a huge hit and filled the room with laughter, smiles, and a lot of compliments about dresses, tuxes, and dancing days gone by.

Other students spent time in our Memory Care Cottages talking with residents about prom, school activities, future plans, and life after graduation. The conversations and connections made throughout the day were incredibly meaningful for everyone involved.

We are so thankful for these thoughtful young adults and the time they shared with our residents. Intergenerational connections like these truly matter and remind us how important community relationships are at every stage of life.

And they’re off! 🏇

This weekend our residents brought a little Kentucky Derby flair to campus with decorated hats, racing paddles, plenty of laughs, and some very serious horse race predictions. From photo finishes to fashionable finishes, the competition was fierce and the smiles were even bigger.

Events like these are a reminder that joy, creativity, and community never go out of style. Thank you to everyone who helped make race day such a fun experience for our residents!

Today we celebrate the incredible mothers who make up the heart of The Good Shepherd Community.

To the mothers working today while caring for others with compassion and grace, thank you. From nursing staff and caregivers to dining services, housekeeping, maintenance, therapy, administration, and every department in between, your kindness reaches far beyond your own families and touches the lives of so many on our campus each day.

We also honor the mothers living within our community. The grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and great-great-grandmothers whose lives tell stories of resilience, sacrifice, love, and devotion. Your wisdom has shaped families, neighborhoods, traditions, and generations. We are privileged to learn from you, laugh with you, and celebrate alongside you.

Today is a beautiful reminder that motherhood takes many forms. Working mothers. Mothers welcoming new grandchildren. Mothers whose children visit every week. Mothers whose love still fills a room long after years have passed. Even the devoted moms caring for their beloved four-legged family members.

On this beautiful May day, we hope there were moments captured that will be treasured for years to come. A shared meal. A walk through campus. A family photo. A hand held a little tighter.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers who make The Good Shepherd Community such a special place to call home and to work.
