Whether they're bushy, trimmed, drawn on, or over-plucked (yes, the 90s were bad), the question is: Why do humans have eyebrows? Do they actually serve a purpose?

Eyebrows move moisture away from the eyes to keep vision clear. The shape and direction of the eyebrow hairs themselves make it so moisture can flow sideways around the eyes, rather than drip down into them.

Experts also believe that your eyebrows play an important role in human communication and facial recognition. They help exaggerate expressions, and are even a more recognizable indicator of identity.

We all know that adequate sleep is necessary for our overall health and wellbeing, but did you know that lack of sleep and negatively impact your vision as well?

Lack of sleep can reduce your tear production, which leads to dry, irritated eyes and blurry vision. Prolonged screen time while being sleep deprived can cause eye fatigue and strain.

Chronic sleep deprivation can lead to eye spasms or twitching, blurred vision, bloodshot eyes, double vision, and in severe cases, hallucinations.

Give your peeps the rest they deserve and get some sleep!
