To all our wonderful students, patients, and community supporters,

We understand that there may be some concerns and rumors circulating about the future of the Health Care Center, so we want to reassure you that we are NOT closing. A meeting was held yesterday where Dr. Travis discussed various topics, including the Health Care Center, and we recognize that any uncertainty can be unsettling.

Although there will be some upcoming minor adjustments to the Health Care Center this will NOT impact our students or our patients. The HCC will continue to give the physical and mental health that our students and patients rely on.

We are truly proud of our team, which consists of three compassionate providers dedicated to giving each patient the care and respect they deserve. We will remain open and ready to serve our campus and community as we always have.

In light of the disinformation circulating on this platform, we kindly encourage you to reach out to one of our dedicated staff members for any further questions or concerns you may have. This will ensure that you receive the most accurate and reliable information.

The first measles case in more than a decade has been confirmed in Kent County, officials announced.

This is the first confirmed case of measles since 2013 and Michigan’s second case this year -- the first was reported in Oakland County.

Health officials said the infected resident recently traveled abroad and recently traveled between Michigan and New Jersey.
