16 years the labyrinth at Radiant Life has brought peace to the community in Sautee. Thank you to all of you who continue to support us and help maintain the labyrinth. She's aged over the last 16 years and the rocks are covered with lichen and moss, but the path is still walkable. For the past 10 days, we've w**ded by hand a little each day and used a w**d eater to clear the path. These things take time and effort and it would be great to have more hands to help maintain the Labyrinth. If you would like to volunteer to help, please give us a call at (706) 968-7935 and leave a message of the best day for you to help. Here are a few more details about the labyrinth:
The Labyrinth at Radiant Life uses the Santa Rosa design created by Lea Goode-Harris, Ph.D. There are seven circuits (concentric paths) and a small square on the fourth circuit where no one walks. This "heart-space" is approached from all four directions and can be used in many symbolic ways while walking.

Radiant Life has lots of ant colonies living in the yard. Taking care of the labyrinth this past weekend and saw a Trillium growing for the first time since 2006!!! Come to find out, the ants carry the seeds and that is how they find optimal places to grow!!! Let the insects live. We all have our part to play in order to spread beauty in the world! Have a Happy and Healthy Day!!!

DID YOU KNOW??? You should never pick a Trillium, because:

1. It takes 9 years after germination for a Trillium to flower.
2. Each flower yields only ONE seed pod each year.
3. Each plant can live up to 25 years, and gains all of its nourishment for the remainder of the year during the spring when its leaves are present.
4. Trillium are propagated by ANTS. Not the wind, or birds. The seeds are covered by a sweet coating which entices the ants to carry seeds underground into their colonies. After eating the coating, the seed germinates in the perfect subterranean environment.
5. Every little colony of Trillium you may happen upon could be decades old.
Every Trillium in the forest is essentially a little miracle.

So true!

The answers to our well-being cannot be found by simply taking a prescription drug. So much of modern illness can be prevented or mended with wholesome food, movement, meditation, forgiveness, interaction with nature, and social connectedness. And even in the absence of a cure, we can choose to be healed. We can’t measure healing with a blood pressure cuff or by the values on a lab test. True healing is experienced and measured by our level of contentment and joy.
