Black Bear Lodge

Black Bear Lodge Black Bear Lodge is a haven of solace dedicated to providing those suffering from substance use. Model representations of real patients are shown.

Our program focuses on addressing all the concerns that a patient brings to treatment; we meet people where they are, developing comprehensive, individualized plans and allowing patients to create and achieve their personal goals in recovery. We partner with each person and guide him or her through an evidence-based integrated treatment process that is designed to treat core needs in a thorough, holistic way. Therapeutic elements of our program include Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Processing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other time-tested modalities. We also provide adventure therapy, art therapy and yoga alongside psychoeducational groups, family therapy, grief/loss sessions and nutrition and wellness sessions. Each patient will receive individual therapy time with a master’s level therapist and group therapy sessions that offer valuable peer support and processing time. Our program is structured to address a person’s physical, spiritual, mental and emotional needs, creating the foundation for lifelong recovery. Black Bear Lodge also provides sub-acute detox services, physician-directed medication management and intervention assistance. Black Bear Lodge is proud to be a member of Foundations Recovery Network. Physicians are on the medical staff of Black Bear Lodge, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Black Bear Lodge. The facility shall not be liable for actions or treatments provided by physicians. We are unable to provide medical advice through social media. Please contact your physician, or in case of emergency, call 911 or the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline at 988. As we continue Alcohol Awareness Month this April, let’s shine a light on the conversations that often happen in silence.

Alcohol Awareness Month gives us a chance to look beyond the stereotypes and recognize how alcohol use can quietly affect stress, health and daily life. For many people, drinking becomes a way to cope — until it starts to take more than it gives.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month — a time to break down stigma, start honest conversations and remind our community that help and healing are always possible.

Alcohol misuse can affect anyone, and it often begins quietly: increased stress, changes in routine or using alcohol to cope. But recognizing the signs is a powerful first step toward change.

Our Mission

Our mission at Black Bear Lodge is to equip individuals with the tools they need to build their own lives in recovery.

We specialize in treating addiction and mental health issues in the same setting, and our fully integrated services are designed to meet the specific needs of each individual. We believe that every person has the ability to change and heal, and we meet patients where they are with an attitude of acceptance and non-judgment.

At Black Bear Lodge, patients are encouraged to rediscover themselves and find new motivation to live a healthy, full life. They are empowered to live bigger than their diagnoses, to find satisfaction and fulfillment outside of self-medicating with drugs, alcohol or compulsive behaviors. We help patients learn new coping skills and find the confidence to overcome life’s challenges.

Located in northern Georgia, Black Bear Lodge serves patients from across the state and around the world. It is a place of solace from the chaos that substance abuse and mental health issues can bring into a person’s life.
