All my life I’ve been pretty healthy. No major illnesses or injuries. I was not in and out of the hospital, other than birthing 2 babies. I experienced over the years what most have accepted as “normal” health challenges like headaches, bad sinuses, joint & muscle aches and pains. I never had any reason for concerns when it came to my health. It wasn’t until 2012 when things started to get a bit more serious; I seemed to be coughing a lot. Fast forward to May of 2013. After months of testing, I was diagnosed with an interstitial lung disease which is degenerative and progressive. I was given a 3 year prognosis. I was told what I had is labeled “idiopathic”, which means there is no known cause for it. Treatment options were basically inconclusive at the time other than their definite side effects. The only “treatment” would be an eventual double lung transplant. I say eventual because after going through the process of lung transplant evaluation, it was determined I was too healthy and did not qualify at the time. That’s quite alright with me!
After going through much emotion, discussion, evaluation & prayer my husband & I chose against the given options and decided to take the route of monitoring my “progress”. A very dear friend reminded me, “But God....” I lean on Him for everything, but when faced with something this big, did I really believe I could be healed? Then “it” happened; enter doTERRA in a very unexpected way.
I’ll spare you the details here, but let me leave you with this, I have stayed virtually pharmaceutical and OTC drug free for 5+ years now. I have passed the prognosis given to me of 3 years and my disease has seemingly not progressed. Physically, I have managed with a healthier lifestyle, doTERRA essential oils and whole foods supplements. Spiritually, I still lean on my Savior, and yes He does still perform miracles.
