✨Bham Road Trip for Maternal Health Day🤰🏾

The one thing we’re gonna do is show up, so when we were invited to this event, Dr. Sha’Rose moved things around to be there as our representative

From Policy to Practice: Advancing Maternal Health Equity and Birthing Justice was a joint event in , AL put on by , , and .advocates , and

And folks showed up and showed out on topics of Medicaid expansion, Maternal health, Black Maternal health, and so much more!
All under the umbrella of mental health and advocacy

Common themes kept coming up such as Trust and Transparency

And this conversation wasn’t just for the providers or organizations, it was for parents, allies, and everyone who cares for folks in this state
Including a few representatives, senators, and elected officials

One of the key takeaways from Jennifer Harris with , was that we need to “Pace Our Passion”

This work isn’t going to be done overnight and sometimes you sit down and reset and other times you fight
