The month of May brings not only two Full Moons, but also an invigorating, creative tension between realism and renewal. In the first half of the month, the stars favor practical, goal-oriented activities. In mid May, around the New Moon, physical needs move to the forefront. In the final third, expect strong Uranian impulses for renewal, which will need to be consciously integrated at the end of the month.

The Full Flower Moon in Scorpio occurs on May 1 at 10:23 AM Pacific Time and 1:23 PM Eastern Time. The micromoon (which occurs when the Moon is far from Earth) marks a time of floral blooms perfuming the air and the Sun’s rays warming our desires. This year’s Flower Moon kicks off May Day, the seasonal holiday, and Beltane, the sabbat that marks the halfway point between spring and summer, which urges us to honor the fire above (the Sun) and within that wills our ambitions and motives.

Since Mercury and Chiron are in the last degrees of Aries, it’s important to express our sentiments with sensitivity; doing the opposite could cause arguments.
