LOCATION: Remote

HOURS AVAILABLE: Full-time, Monday - Friday Flexible day time hours. Paid holidays, PTO, and 401K unmatched provided.

JOB SUMMARY: This is a full-time, remote position that requires you to be a self-motivated and organized worker. You would be billing for mental health providers across the nation from an internet-based EHR platform. Communication is necessary with the providers but minimally with clients. There are no collections involved in this billing position.
In this position, you will:
• Verify eligibility and benefits via phone or online portal for in office and telehealth visits.
• Submit claims daily for providers.
• Follow up on denied and rejected claims.
• Post payments or adjustments as needed.
• Answer provider questions regarding their accounts.
• Maintain knowledge of and follow policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies and applicable regulations and policies pertaining to your providers’ insurances.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma required, Associate degree or higher in related field preferred
• Must be 18 years of age
• Background clearance
• Previous medical billing experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong investigative, problem solving and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete work with accuracy
• Knowledge of medical billing
• Knowledge of SimplePractice and TheraNest EHR systems is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
