Anil Piya, MD, FAAP Founder/Pediatric Endocrinologist

Dr. Piya completed a post-graduate residency training in pediatrics at the Bronx Lebanon Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York and a post-graduate fellowship program in pediatric endocrinology at Children’s Hospital Colorado, University of Colorado School of Medicine, in Aurora, Colorado. Dr. Piya joined Memorial Health University Center, Savannah, Georgia in 2015. Dr. Piya served as a lead pediatric endocrinologist for the practice group for almost 5 years. Dr. Piya held an assistant professor title at Mercer University School of Medicine and had a teaching role for medical students and residents during this time.

Dr. Piya has nineteen years of clinical, research and leadership experience. Dr. Piya has numerous peer-reviewed journal papers, book chapters, and abstracts under his academic achievement. As an invited speaker, Dr. Piya has given lectures, grand rounds, and oral presentations both nationally and internationally. Dr. Piya is a faculty and a national speaker for the Genetic Obesity Leadership Development Program( GOLD Academy). Dr. Piya is also on the editorial board committee of an international peer-reviewed medical journal. Beyond the clinician role, Dr. Piya has undertaken a physician advisory role for Ascendis pharma and a physician consultant role for Rhythm pharmaceuticals. Dr. Piya was recently elected as board of director for Human Growth Foundation, a non-profit organization that serves as a global leader in endocrine research, education, patient advocacy, and support.

Dr. Piya takes great pride in the quality of care provided by his outstanding team. Dr. Piya works relentlessly to educate healthcare professionals on endocrine health and disorders in the community. As a true advocate, Dr. Piya spends time empowering children and families for their health and wellbeing inside and outside the practice. In addition, Dr. Piya’s passion is driven by the bond and positive vibe he creates amongst his patients and their families over the course of their lives and the sense of fulfillment he holds in keeping them healthy and happy. These experiences and achievements have shaped Dr. Piya into an excellent physician and a true leader.

Dr. Piya is a board-certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Piya is an active member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society, Endocrine Society, American Diabetes Association, the American Medical Association and the American Association of Physician Leadership.
