The SisterSong Birth Justice Care Fund is now open and accepting applications in the Greater Savannah Area!
This initiative is designed to support Black and other birthing people of color during fertility, pregnancy, and up to one year postpartum. The fund covers prenatal and postpartum support costs, including essential items like diapers, wipes, car seats, strollers, and breast pumps.
Doulas provide invaluable assistance during various stages:
• Birth Doulas: Offer continuous physical, emotional, and informational support during labor and delivery.
• Postpartum Doulas: Assist families in the weeks following birth, helping with newborn care, parental education, and household tasks.
• Fertility Doulas: Support individuals and couples navigating fertility challenges, providing emotional support and information on reproductive options.
Given the limited funds available, early application is highly recommended. Applicants must be between 8 weeks pregnant and up to one year postpartum to be eligible.
