On Friday, May 16, Coastal Harbor was honored to take part in a special ceremony at Savannah Arts Academy to dedicate and unveil Ayden's Buddy Bench. It was a moving and meaningful event, filled with reflection, remembrance and hope.
Donated by Coastal Harbor in memory of Ayden, the Buddy Bench is intended to be a safe space for students and staff—a place to rest, reflect and engage in supportive, empathetic conversation.
As our CEO, Sneha Patel, shared, “Ayden’s Buddy Bench will serve as a lasting legacy in Ayden’s memory and as an encouraging reminder that positive mental health begins with dialogue. The goal is to provide a non-judgmental space that promotes open mental health discussions and reminds every student that no matter the problem, there is always someone willing to listen. There is help, and there is hope.”
We are proud to support this initiative and honor Ayden’s memory in such a meaningful way.
