PHP vs. IOP — What’s the Difference?

Understanding the levels of care in mental health treatment is key to finding the right support. Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers structured, daytime treatment for individuals requiring intensive support, while our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a more flexible, part-time approach to therapy. Each program is designed to meet different needs on the path to recovery.

Whether you're exploring options for yourself or a loved one, we’re here to help. Learn more by visiting us at https://coastalharbor.com/

Coastal Harbor Supports Our Heroes!

Last Saturday, our team proudly participated in the Nine Line Run for the Wounded 5K, an incredible event supporting wounded veterans through the amazing work of the Nine Line Foundation.

We’re honored to stand behind this cause and grateful for the opportunity to give back to those who’ve sacrificed so much.

Thank you to everyone who came out and showed support. Together, we run with purpose.

As the new school year begins, many children and teens feel overwhelmed by the pressure of returning to the classroom. From academic expectations to social challenges, the stress can be real.

Start the conversation. Ask how they’re feeling about going back. Listen with empathy and without judgment.
Ease the transition. Help them prepare by organizing supplies, reviewing schedules, and setting realistic goals.
Offer reassurance. Remind them it’s okay to feel stressed — and that they’re not alone.

Supporting kids through back-to-school stress can make a big difference in their confidence and well-being. Let’s help them start the year strong!

Back-to-School Anxiety Is Real

As summer winds down, many children and teens begin to feel anxious about returning to school. New routines, academic pressure, social dynamics, and even just the unknown can trigger stress.

Take time to talk. Ask them how they’re feeling. Listen without judgment. Validate their concerns.
Open the conversation. Whether it’s fear of fitting in, academic worries, or separation anxiety, knowing they’re heard can make all the difference.

Small steps help. Practice routines, visit the school, or connect with friends ahead of time.

Let’s support our kids emotionally as they head back into the classroom.
