Fox & Weeks is privileged to serve the family and loved ones of John Lewis Crow, Jr., age 90, of Rincon, who passed peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026, after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. John was born at home on March 24, 1935, to John Lewis Crow, Sr. and Beatrice Parker Crow in Americus, GA. He graduated from Americus High School in 1953. He then went off to college, first attending Georgia Tech, where he was in the Georgia Tech Marching Band (trumpet). One Friday, he decided to drive down to Cordele for the weekend. This is when his and his wife's fate was sealed. They went out on a date that fateful Friday night, and well, the rest is history. John married his beloved wife, Frances, on June 19, 1955. Afterwards they moved to Savannah where John's career began at Hercules. He then attended Armstrong State College, at night, where he received his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry in 1969, all while raising four kids. John never met a stranger, and always wanted to tell his story.
