This past Saturday, our residents had the chance to shop till they dropped! Nine of us headed out to TJ Maxx to update our wardrobes for the fall season, pick up a few cozy décor pieces, and simply enjoy a fun day out together.

✈️ Exploring History at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum ✈️

Earlier this month, our residents embarked on a private tour of the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, just up the road in Pooler, GA. This museum is a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the Eighth Air Force during World War II. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring historic aircraft, including a B-17 Flying Fortress, and learn about the pivotal role the Eighth Air Force played in the European theater.

Our residents love working on puzzles, we usually complete about one a week (sometimes more!). The best part? The puzzle table is available 24/7. Stop by any time to add a few pieces or settle in and complete a whole section. Whether you’re a seasoned puzzler or just looking for a relaxing activity, there’s always a spot for you at the table. 💛

⚓️🍴 Lunch at The Pirates’ House! 🍴⚓️
Friday, a group treated ourselves to lunch at the historic Pirates’ House in Savannah, located near River Street. If you couldn’t guess by the name, this place has a lively past: it once catered to sailors, and pirates, and was used as a point for trading (or smuggling) goods. It’s a must-see on trolley and ghost tours around the city, and dining there is like stepping into a story.

This Assisted Living Week was full of curiosity, laughter, and celebration. Our residents embraced every moment! 🎉
We traveled the world as wacky tourists ✈️, sipped coffee at our jet-lag bar ☕, explored America’s national parks 🏔️, and even journeyed back in time with trivia and nostalgia from the 1950s all the way through today. 💿📺📱
Each day was a reminder that adventure has no age limit and that the best part of the journey is sharing it with friends, neighbors, and family. ❤️

✨ Shooting for the Stars ✨
This month we’re embracing curiosity, wonder, and exploration and our trip to the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force was the perfect way to do just that! 🚀✈️
Our residents had a wonderful time learning, exploring, and celebrating the incredible courage, stories, and patriotism of the men and women of the Mighty Eighth - from World War II through today.
Visiting on September 12th made the experience even more meaningful, as we were reminded of the importance of unity, resilience, and remembrance following 9/11. ❤️🤍💙

Residents created their very own fortunes to slip into fortune cookies, then enjoyed a tray of assorted seasonal cookies. 🍪💛 Lots of laughter, sweet treats, and words of wisdom made this activity a hit! This week in Creative Campers, residents had the choice to either color an inspirational nature picture or design their own creation. First you take the mallow… then you stick it on the chocolate… then you cover it with the graham.” – The Sandlot 🍫🔥

Today, we celebrated National S’mores Day in the messiest (and most delicious) way possible! We had milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and a variety of graham crackers, classic honey, chocolate sugar, and even cinnamon.

The surprise taste winner? Dark chocolate + cinnamon graham = chef’s kiss. 😋

Sticky hands, chocolatey smiles, and a perfect treat for a rainy afternoon. ☔🍫
