If you've been around me the last 2 years, you've probably heard me talk about the Georgia Fund for Perinatal Mental Health.

It has been so exciting to help midwife this program into existence – especially over the past few months with the support of PSI Georgia Chapter. Since then, we've provided over 800 FULLY FUNDED therapy sessions to perinatal moms in need across Georgia.

Did you know in the United States, Black women are around three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes compared to white women. In Georgia, the disparity is even more stark, with Black women being around six times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications compared to white women. Additionally, Black women in Georgia often face challenges in accessing prenatal care and other maternal health services, contributing to these disparities.
