Depression doesn’t always look the same for everyone, but some common signs include:

• Persistent sadness, emptiness, or feeling “down” most of the day

• Loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed

• Low energy or constant fatigue

• Changes in sleep (sleeping too much or trouble sleeping)

• Changes in appetite or weight

• Difficulty concentrating or making decisions

• Feelings of worthlessness, guilt, or hopelessness

• Irritability or increased frustration

• Withdrawing from friends, family, or social activities

• Physical symptoms like headaches or body aches without a clear cause

Experiencing some of these occasionally is normal. But if several of these symptoms last two weeks or more, it may be time to reach out for support.
