Meet Mariah Reaves, one of our new therapists at Waters Edge Counseling! 🤗
Mariah supports adolescents, adults, and couples who are navigating relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, and unresolved childhood trauma. Her approach creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, make sense of their emotions, and develop tools that genuinely strengthen their wellbeing and relationships.
Her goal is to help clients uncover their strengths, rewrite their stories, and move toward a more fulfilling, emotionally healthy life. 😊
🌟Trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
🌟Specializes in trauma-focused interventions to help individuals manage anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms.
🌟For couples, she draws from the Gottman Method to address challenges such as infidelity, PTSD, communication breakdowns, and trauma-related relational patterns.
🌟Her work is grounded in attachment theory, supporting clients in creating secure, meaningful, and lasting connections.
She earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. As a pre-licensed mental health counselor, I am under clinical supervision at Waters Edge Counseling and working toward licensure (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
