URGENT POST
Popo was brought into one of our vets on Friday due to a sore on her right rear leg. She was left by a roommate of the person bringing her in and the person she was left with is unable to keep her due to finances and other pets. Right now we need a temporary foster for this incredibly sweet girl who purrs the moment you touch her. We need someone to assist in getting her healed, an extra room or large bathroom would be ideal for her getting better. We will see her through this medically, we just need a foster parent to love her and apply medicated cream twice a day. She is passive and doesn’t have a mean bone on her. She is spayed and up-to-date on all immunizations and does fine with other cats and dogs once healed. Please reach out to (912) 695-2415 if you have a temporary space for Popo.

- Eight-year-old Cookie had surgery three days ago on Thursday for emergency removal of one eye (enucleation). Total cost to GRRR was an unexpected $591.00. Help is needed. We ran a small fundraiser the night before but only saw $30.00 in donations. To assist, visit: https://donorbox.org/cookie-s-emergency-eye-removal Any funds collected over our goal will be used for two incoming seniors this week from Chatham County Animal Services. Both will require medical attention.
- Cookie is a long-term resident in one of our special needs foster homes and lives happily with other blind dogs.
- Cookie has been blind all of her life but there was a sudden change in her intraocular pressure presenting itself with a sudden bulge in the eye one week ago. While this condition can sometimes be managed through drops, her condition could not. Normal pressure reading is 12 mmHg to 28 mmHg, hers is 46 mmHg.
- We will continue to share her journey over the next few days in posts on our social media pages letting you know how she is doing. Thank you for helping Cookie by visiting:
