The residents on our memory care unit had a truly uplifting experience creating their spoon flowers for craft day yesterday, and afterwards we celebrated with snacks and drinks.

This afternoon was craft day. The ladies created flowers out of plastic spoons following a team-building activity and then utilized nail polish to paint them. They will make a lovely door decoration.

What a truly uplifting celebration we had today at Laverna, commemorating the start of a new year at 2:00! We shared delectable snacks and united in welcoming the upcoming year with hope and optimism. Our delightful spread included cookies, rotel dip with chips, snack mix, little smokies and punch. We eagerly anticipate the promising opportunities that next year will bring! Happy New year

This morning's residents Christmas party was a shining example of kindness and compassion, thanks to the efforts of several organizations and volunteers. Three Oaks Hospice and Freudenthal donated cupcakes! The VFW donated sodas, Fast Tax Services volunteered their time to help with the party. All of these people embodying generosity and goodwill.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who brought our residents a Christmas gift from our Angel tree, bringing joy and happiness to their lives. Thank you Santa for passing out gifts and taking photos, making the experience truly unforgettable. The residents were overjoyed, reveling in the excitement of opening their gifts.

Following cupcakes and punch, we held the employee ugly sweater contest, with the residents crowning the winner. The party concluded with a rousing game of BINGO.
