☀️ Feeling extra low during the winter months? It might not just be “winter blues.”

Ever heard of a SAD lamp? Also called a light therapy lamp, it mimics natural sunlight — and it can make a real difference for people with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

SAD is a form of depression that shows up when days get shorter and sunlight drops. Less light can disrupt the part of your brain that controls:

🌙 Melatonin (sleep)
😊 Serotonin (mood)
⏰ Your internal body clock (circadian rhythm)

When those get out of sync, mood, energy, and focus often follow.

Light therapy helps “reset” that system — and for many people, it’s a simple way to feel more like themselves again.
