🩺✨ Prepared for the Unexpected: Quarterly Emergency Drills at Savannah Birth & Wellness Center 🩺

At Savannah Birth and Wellness Center, your safety is always our top priority. 💗 That’s why our team of midwives and birth assistants come together every quarter to practice emergency drills and stay sharp for any situation that may arise during labor and birth.

These hands-on trainings include critical scenarios such as:
🔸 Postpartum Hemorrhage
🔸 Neonatal Resuscitation
🔸 Pr*****ed Cord/Cord Avulsion
🔸 Breech Birth Management
🔸 Shoulder Dystocia

While birth is usually a beautiful, natural process, we believe in being fully prepared—just in case. These drills ensure our team responds with confidence, skill, and coordination, keeping both you and your baby safe in the rare event of an emergency.

We’re proud to provide evidence-based, compassionate care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical readiness. 💪👶

📄✨ Let’s Talk Birth Plans! ✨📄

At Savannah Birth and Wellness Center, we believe in your birth, your way—and a birth plan is a great way to communicate your hopes, preferences, and priorities for labor and delivery. 💛

Every patient will complete a birth plan with us around the 34-week mark, but it’s never too early to start thinking about what’s important to you!

A birth plan isn’t about controlling every moment—it’s about feeling informed, empowered, and supported as you welcome your baby into the world.

Here are a few things you might include:
🕯️ Environment – dim lighting, music, aromatherapy
🤱 Birth preferences – positions, water birth, partner involvement
🩺 Monitoring/intervention preferences – hands-off approach, intermittent checks
👶 Newborn care – immediate skin-to-skin, delayed cord clamping, feeding choices

At our birth center, we take the time to review your plan with you and talk through what matters most. We honor your voice and vision, and we’re here to support you—even if things shift during the process.

✨ Your birth plan is a conversation, not a checklist.

Whether you’re just starting to think about it or already have a vision in mind, our team is here to help you build a plan that reflects your values, your body, and your baby.

Have questions about what to include or how it works at our center? Let’s chat—we’d love to support you on your journey. 💬

💬 Let’s Talk About Painful S*x — You’re Not Alone 💔

Pain during s*x (also known as dyspareunia) is more common than you think—and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. If s*x hurts, it’s your body’s way of saying something needs attention.

Here are just a few possible reasons why s*x might be painful:
👉 Vaginal dryness (often from hormones, menopause, or breastfeeding)
👉 Pelvic floor tension or muscle spasms
👉 Endometriosis or other medical conditions
👉 Infections or inflammation
👉 Past trauma or emotional distress
👉 Lack of arousal or lubrication

💡 The good news? There are treatments:
✔️ Pelvic floor physical therapy
✔️ Hormonal support (like estrogen creams or vaginal moisturizers)
✔️ Counseling or s*x therapy
✔️ Gentle communication with your partner
✔️ Medical care for underlying conditions

You deserve pleasure, comfort, and connection. If s*x is painful, don’t suffer in silence—talk to a trusted provider and get the support you need. 💖

🌿 Let’s Talk About Postpartum Depression 🌿
At Savannah Birth and Wellness Center, we want every parent to know: you are not alone.

Postpartum depression (PPD) is more than the "baby blues." It’s a real, medical condition that affects 1 in 7 birthing people—and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. 💛

PPD can show up as:
😔 Ongoing sadness or hopelessness
💤 Exhaustion beyond newborn tiredness
😡 Irritability or anger
❌ Feeling disconnected from your baby
💭 Intrusive or scary thoughts

Even in the most beautiful, empowering birth experiences, PPD can still happen—and we’re here to hold space for the whole truth of your journey.

✨ At our birth center, postpartum care doesn’t stop after delivery. We check in with how you’re feeling—physically and emotionally—and connect you with gentle, holistic resources, whether that’s counseling, support groups, or extra time to talk.

🤱 You are not failing.
💬 You are not alone.
🫶 Help is here—and healing is possible.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out. We’re here to support you with love, without judgment.

📞 Call us to talk.
You deserve care, support, and light in this tender season.
