For some patients, therapy—including individual, group, and family counseling—can make a huge difference for long-term success. That's where New Season's Intensive Outpatient Program comes in. This education- and counseling-focused program allows patients to avoid more restrictive services like hospitalization while maintaining an intense, structured treatment that gets at the personal root of addiction. Through our IOP, we're able to better help heal the whole patient: mind, body, and spirit.

Treating substance use disorders means treating the whole person, from the physical withdrawal symptoms to the possible mental and emotional roots of addiction. Our compassionate professionals at New Season understand how mental illness might factor into the start of a substance problem as well as the healing of that same problem, which is why counseling plays such a significant role in our customized treatment plans.

As World Mental Health Day works to raise overall awareness of mental health issues globally, increase efforts in support of mental health, and improve education, New Season would like to do the same specifically for those in recovery or looking to start. Know that your mental health is important; you should never feel alone along this journey, and we will support you every step of the way.

For help, call New Season at 1-877-284-7074 or visit NewSeason.com.

Your mental health can be critical to your physical health and overall well-being, but it's difficult to treat what you don't realize is there. That's why getting a depression screening can be an important first step to understanding your current state of mind, getting the help you need to move forward, and reducing the risk of a mental health crisis.

By using counseling as well as Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), New Season is able to provide a holistic approach to treatment that takes mental illnesses like depression into account. We believe wholeheartedly in mental health preparedness, and we encourage everyone to get a depression screening—it could be the first step on your journey toward healing.

“[The biggest] change would have to be my attitude. I feel more positive all around. I get to see my kids and my family that I was estranged from… It’s night a day from where I was a year ago. Recommendation to others: Take that first step, it’s the hardest one but honestly you will love yourself for it!” – Patient from New Season Treatment Center in Rochester, MN

Recovery is aptly named—not only are you recovering from an illness, opioid use disorder, but you're also recovering the person you were before that illness affected your life. The path ahead of you might be difficult at times, but it's well worth the journey to a brighter future.

Regularly at the top of the list of most common cancers worldwide, breast cancer affects millions of people and hundreds of thousands of new cases are diagnosed each year. But there's hope: education, early detection, and improvements in treatment mean more and more lives are saved annually.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is meant to raise awareness of the disease, encourage people to go for regular preventative screenings, and generate funds for cancer research—but we'd like to use October to also emphasize how the physical and emotional toll of chronic illnesses like cancer can sometimes lead to pain management with medications that might then lead to substance use disorder.

For those suffering on two fronts, we'd like to extend a hand of support. For more information on New Season's treatment services, call us at 1-877-284-7074 or visit NewSeason.com.

Globally, almost 6% of the population suffers from depression to varying degrees. Many of these people suffer alone, silenced by an unnecessary social stigma that prevents them from speaking out and seeking help. This month is Depression Awareness Month, which aims to break that stigma and encourage people to speak up, reach out for support, and support those around them who might need it. It is only through honest communication, compassion, and empathy that we can shed light on this darkness.

We understand that a connection exists between mental health struggles like depression and substance use disorders, which is why counseling for mental and emotional support is a critical part of New Season's approach to treatment.

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use, reach out to us at 1-877-284-7074 or visit NewSeason.com. We’re here to help!

Through awareness, understanding, and education, we can change harmful negative perceptions surrounding substance use disorder and encourage those enduring in silence to get help, get support, and get their lives back. Substance Use & Misuse Prevention Month is a period of time in which we find ways to address the mental, emotional, and physical issues that might lead to substance use problems, increase public knowledge of the risks, and highlight the importance of treatment, as well as offer compassionate care for those in recovery or thinking about it.

If you or someone you love is currently struggling, New Season can help. Call us today at 1-877-284-7074 or visit NewSeason.com to learn more about our services and resources.
