There’s a very specific kind of person I'm looking for right now.
Someone who loves people — and loves when things actually work.

Someone who notices the details, keeps systems steady, and understands that a calm, welcoming space doesn’t happen by accident.

After many years running Savannah Yoga Center (23 years in March!) and Ordinary Magic (6 years), I’ve learned this:
The health of a community-rooted business depends just as much on behind-the-scenes care as it does on what people see when they walk through the door.

That’s why we’re hiring a Studio & Shop Operations Manager.

This is not a teaching role and not a corporate management position. It’s an onsite operations role for someone who:
- Finds satisfaction in steady systems
- Cares deeply about community and communication
- Enjoys supporting people, schedules, and flow
- Wants to be part of a long-standing, values-driven small business

It starts part-time, has room to grow, and is meant for someone looking for a professional home — not a side hustle.

January at Ordinary Magic is devoted to courage, protection, and conscious action—how we show up for ourselves and for others, even when it’s uncomfortable.

January is also National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and this year we’re aligning our theme with tangible support.

Throughout the month, 15% of all Tiger’s Eye sales—a stone long associated with courage and strength—will be donated to Tharros Place, a local nonprofit providing safe housing and restorative care for survivors. This is an invitation to practice courage not just as a concept, but as a choice that makes a real impact.

As December comes to a close, the moon is doing what it always does—completing a cycle.

The upcoming Full Moon in Cancer on January 3rd arrives as both an ending and a soft holding.
Full moons are not about starting over.
They are about finishing, releasing, and recognizing what has already unfolded.

Cancer reminds us that endings deserve care.
That closure doesn’t have to be sharp or dramatic.
It can be tender. Quiet. Warm.

As the year winds down, some of us are welcoming something new.
Some are in the middle of change.
Some are honoring endings—grief, fatigue, or chapters that simply ran their course.

If you feel called to mark this moment, keep it simple: • Light a candle
• Sit with a bowl of cleansing water
• Name what you’re ready to release as this cycle closes
• Thank what carried you this far

Nothing needs fixing.
Nothing needs rushing.

This Full Moon reminds us that completion is a form of devotion.
And that we are not meant to move through these thresholds alone.
