Through the Greencroft Foundation’s Resident Dream program, our very own Sylvia Koenig recently got to live out one of her dreams—and what a beautiful day it was!

Sylvia visited the Luthy Botanical Gardens, where she enjoyed the breathtaking displays of flowers, plants, and wildlife in a peaceful, scenic setting. Afterwards, she and her friends shared a wonderful meal together at Kelleher’s Irish Pub and Eatery, soaking in the cozy Irish atmosphere and delicious food. 🍀🍴

It was truly a day filled with laughter, beauty, friendship, and memories that Sylvia will cherish. 💜 We are so grateful for programs like the Resident Dream initiative that make these special experiences possible for our community members.

If you’ve walked by the main lobby recently, you may have noticed a very special addition—our Quilt of Valor, proudly displayed to honor those who have served.

This beautiful, handmade quilt is more than just a piece of art. It’s a powerful symbol of gratitude, awarded to Service Members and Veterans who have been touched by war. The plaque beside it reads:

"A Quilt of Valor® (QOV) is a quality, handmade quilt that is machine or hand quilted. It is awarded to a Service Member or Veteran who has been touched by war. The Quilt says unequivocally, ‘Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our nation.’”

We are proud to display this tribute as a reminder of the bravery, sacrifice, and strength of our veterans. Stop by, take a moment, and reflect on the powerful message it carries.

✨ Day Trip Fun! ✨
Our Windsor residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to Windsor, IL! First stop was a delicious lunch at the Windsor Pub, followed by an afternoon at The Little Theatre on the Square to see Forever Plaid. 🎶

The best part? Windsor VP of Operations, Nancy Mella-Oliver, joined in the fun with good food, great conversation, and an amazing show as always.

🥁💪 Yesterday was full of rhythm, energy, and big smiles here at Windsor of Savoy! Our residents had a blast during Seated Cardio Drumming Class — staying active, moving to the beat, and having so much fun together.

It’s amazing how much joy comes from a little music, movement, and community! 💙
