🦞☀️ Throwback Thursday to Our Lobster Feed! ☀️🦞

We’re still smiling thinking about this amazing day! Residents, staff, and volunteers came together for one of our favorite annual traditions — a fresh lobster feast complete with all the fixings.

It was a perfect afternoon enjoying Maine’s favorite summertime treat! 💜

🐐🎡 Residents and staff spent a wonderful day soaking up the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Cumberland Fair ! It was the perfect fall outing! 🐰🐄

🍂🥧 On the first day of fall, our residents rolled up their sleeves and got to work in the kitchen—baking delicious apple and peach pies with fruit grown right here in Maine. 🍎🍑

The best part was enjoying the warm slices together. A sweet way to welcome the season! 💛

🎉 Happy Labor Day! 🎉

This year marks our 35th Anniversary, and we couldn’t be prouder of the staff who have made our Home such a special place for Veterans and their families. 💙

While many will enjoy a day off today, Labor Day is more than BBQs and picnics — it’s a day to honor the dedication and contributions of our nation’s workforce. At MVH Scarborough, we are especially grateful for our team’s compassion, commitment, and care over the past 35 years.

👏 One of the ways we’re celebrating our 35th Anniversary is with a commemorative tee fundraiser! Proceeds benefit our Employee Appreciation Fund, which helps provide outings, activities, and special events for our incredible staff.

🍌🍨 We heard it was National Banana Split Day on August 25… so of course we had to celebrate!

Impromptu banana splits were a huge hit — and judging by the smiles, we think this might have to become a regular tradition. 💙

🏍 On Saturday, July 12, we were honored to host the Wounded Heroes Ride 2025 "Let Freedom Ring" event with the Wounded Heroes Program of Maine . It was a powerful show of support for Maine’s wounded veterans. Nearly 250 motorcycles rolled out from MVH Scarborough to Bentley's Saloon, creating an unforgettable sight and sound as the community came together for this donation-only event.

Thank you to all the riders, volunteers, and supporters who made the day such a success. It was incredibly special for our Veterans to be integrated in this awesome event! 💙❤️

✈️ One of our Veterans had the incredible experience of going on a recent Honor Flight Maine trip. We made sure she was sent off in style — complete with a police es**rt to the Portland Jetport! 🚓👏

We’re so proud to honor her service and grateful to all who helped make this special trip possible.

For Independence Day, our residents got to ride along in the Pine Point Parade. The celebration wrapped up with delicious strawberry shortcake! 🍓
