🦃 Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

Our Home welcomed families and loved ones for an early Thanksgiving celebration last Thursday. Seeing our Veterans and residents surrounded by the people who mean the most to them made the day truly special.

Thanksgiving is a deeply rooted American tradition—a time to gather, reflect, and give thanks for the blessings and freedoms we enjoy. Here at MVH, we are especially thankful for the honor of caring for Maine’s Veterans and for the incredible community of families who walk beside us every day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We wish you all a warm, joyful, and peaceful Thanksgiving holiday! 🤎💛🧡

🎨 We are so proud to share that Roland “Salazar” Rose, a resident here at MVH Scarborough, was recently featured as a showcased artist at the Barn Gallery in Ogunquit, ME.

Roland, joined by fellow residents and staff, made a special trip to the gallery where he was able to view his exhibited pieces, talk about his artistic journey, and share the stories and meaning behind his work. It was an inspiring and memorable day for everyone who attended.

Congratulations, Roland, on this wonderful recognition — and thank you for bringing so much creativity and beauty to our community! 💛

💜 We recently hosted our very first Alzheimer’s Walk, and what an inspiring day it was. Residents, staff, and families gathered together to share heartfelt stories and personal experiences with Alzheimer’s disease — moments filled with courage, love, and connection.

Afterward, the group walked in unison around the building, showing support, solidarity, and hope. Everyone then enjoyed snacks, conversation, and time together as a community.

We’re incredibly proud to share that MVH Scarborough raised $1,100 for the Alzheimer's Association during this event! 💜✨

🏁 We recently hit the road for a fun outing to Bentley's Saloon and Car Museum—and it was a blast! Classic cars, great food and even better company. 💙

🦞☀️ Throwback Thursday to Our Lobster Feed! ☀️🦞

We’re still smiling thinking about this amazing day! Residents, staff, and volunteers came together for one of our favorite annual traditions — a fresh lobster feast complete with all the fixings.

It was a perfect afternoon enjoying Maine’s favorite summertime treat! 💜

🐐🎡 Residents and staff spent a wonderful day soaking up the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Cumberland Fair ! It was the perfect fall outing! 🐰🐄

🍂🥧 On the first day of fall, our residents rolled up their sleeves and got to work in the kitchen—baking delicious apple and peach pies with fruit grown right here in Maine. 🍎🍑

The best part was enjoying the warm slices together. A sweet way to welcome the season! 💛

This was an awesome day of live music, delicious food, and the best company — our Veterans, families, staff, and community!
