Tips to keep you mentally energized this week! ✨

1. In the morning, just sit still, close your eyes, and focus on your breathing. Even a few minutes will help you to stay focused and calm throughout the day.

2. Make time for exercise. You know it's true that when you take a short walk, it helps clear your mind and boost your energy levels!

3. Take short breaks throughout the day to give your mind a rest. Step away from your computer, have a snack, or simply close your eyes and breathe. These breaks can help to prevent burnout and keep you productive.

4. Spend time with friends and family, or connect with others through social media or online communities. Having a support system can help to reduce stress and boost your mood.

5. Tonight, wind down with a more structured evening routine. Getting enough sleep will help you stay alert and focused tomorrow.

Follow these tips for a week of mental clarity and focus. Which one will you try first?

What do you wish a mental health therapist on Valentine's day?

After a tough year of mental health struggles, I think it's high time we all show appreciation to mental health therapists on Valentine's Day. Whether it's your counselor, social worker, or psychologist, mental health therapists are truly unsung heroes when it comes to mental health awareness and providing necessary care.

Instead of a bouquet of roses or chocolates, this Valentine's day why not give them a heartfelt thank-you note expressing your deepest gratitude for helping you with mental wellness?

Nothing says "I appreciate you" like showing that their hard work has not gone unnoticed - and what better way to do it than to spread the love on this special day?

Need a reminder about your limitless potential?

Have you ever found yourself stuck in the same goals-setting pattern, thinking about what's realistic and what's not? We often focus on the immediate goals that can be achieved within a few months or even a few weeks.

But if we're honest with ourselves, we probably also have dreams bigger than that—the ambitious goals our inner self yearns for, goals that are far beyond our comfort zone. The goals that we're too shy to speak of, to name, to go after.

Let's change that!

Instead of holding ourselves back, let's embrace those big goals—let's foster the mindset that anything is possible and unlock our endless potential. It's time to put ourselves out there and pursue our dreams. The sky's the limit and your potential is limitless!

What will you do with uncapped potential and endless possibilities?

Today I will focus on…having gratitude for my problems.

What? That sounds counterintuitive!

Aren't we supposed to make a conscious effort to recognize the power of gratitude and positive affirmations?

Sure, that comes naturally. It's easy to be grateful for all the good things in life that make us smile. But can we really reap the benefits of gratitude if we don't express gratitude for our problems?

Sometimes it's hard to get out of a negative space and think positively, especially when you're facing an issue that seems insurmountable. That's why I try to start my day by expressing gratitude, even for my problems—they too can help me succeed in ways I may never have thought possible.

So this morning, my gratitude mantra is there's always something coming down the path that will help me grow and expand! Some days it's just hidden in the form of a problem!

I'd love you to join me in this positive mindset practice and try giving gratitude for your problems. Let's see what's possible together!

When was the last time you told yourself, “you’re amazing!”??

There are enough critics out there. A kind word or two can make a HUGE impact on someone’s day, so why not start within?

I try my best to remind myself of the things that make me uniquely me - like my determination or sense of adventure - so I can focus on feeling good about who I am. Most recently, I'm giving thanks for having a big heart and how it leads me to empathize with others in unique ways. With this self-affirmation comes a renewed sense of confidence and inspiration to keep dreaming big! Even small acknowledgements can help boost self-esteem, so if you need to hear it from someone else – don’t forget you’ve got permission to give yourself that much needed compliment here!

Let's do it!

Shout out your awesomeness for all to hear! What do you appreciate about yourself?

Let's start a compliment thread below!

Best relationship tip for the holidays: Choose to be kind over being right.

The holidays can be a trying time for relationships. With family and gathering expectations, your communication with your partner can often become strained. To help prioritize your connection, it's important to practice kindness over being "right." When your partner makes a bid for connection - turn toward them instead of ignoring them, and respond positively and kindly so that their efforts are validated.

Relationship expert Dr. John Gottman says for every negative interaction, there must be 5 positive feelings or interactions. Each time you turn toward your partner instead of away, you are building trust and strengthening your bond. This fosters better communication between you two and helps improve your relationship during the holidays!

Taking time to pause and validate how your partner is feeling is a great way to ensure that both of you have a wonderful holiday season together!

Our Story

You want more in life. You want movement--to go after your dreams, take risks and embrace your life. And sometimes you want stillness too--to be able to sit back, feel calm and appreciate the gifts around you.

My therapeutic approach speaks to your desire for both progress and ease. Staying balanced while in motion.

I love working with couples and individuals. I help you discover that part that does the right thing, takes action and dreams big, but often is just a whisper. That part–the best in you–is in there, longing to be heard. Together we meet your best self and open up to the possibilities of your life.

I also offer supervision for therapists and interns, incorporating this same dynamic to help professionals find their balance while making progress and taking action in sessions and in their careers.
