Dear Clients,
Happy Spring!!! If I have not seen you for a while, I hope you ARE or that you're on your way back to being healthy and well in all the ways. I have a few updates! Demand has been higher than usual and I am doing my best to stay organized. If I have been unable to get back to or book you as quickly as I have in the past, I am still here and would love to see you!
Booking:
Currently, online booking IS available but for current clients only. Make sure you use the email that I have for you on file as it is connected to your completed intake/consent form. Otherwise, the system will recognize you as a new client and will not allow you to complete the booking.
**Please note** If you do NOT receive a confirmation and/or reminder email and/or reminder text for an appointment you believe is on the books, please reach out to me directly as it may not be on my calendar.
Noise Pollution:
WHAT is that noise? Please click the link below for a fun video sound bite of what has *sometimes* become the backdrop of my workplace environment. Evidently, the use of saws downstairs is indefinite. I do not know when, for how long or on which (if any) given day of the week. Some days there is not a single sound in the entire building. However, given the guerilla-style unpleasant surprise sound attack situation, I need you and any potential new clients to know what might or might not happen so that appointments can be booked, not booked, canceled and/or planned accordingly. Turn your sound up and wait for it
That Noise
Sensory input tolerance levels are personal. Some people will be completely unphased by this noise and others will want to crawl out of their skin. I have purchased a small army of white noise machines and will have disposable ear plugs available. If you have noise cancelling earbuds that you would like to use to help block noise and/or listen to your own music, feel free to bring them along!
If you choose to book regardless, please be comfortable and open communicating with me about what you need for the sound levels that I CAN control, including a white noise to music ratio, in the same way that you are always encouraged to be comfortable and openly communicating with me about pressure or temperature. I will never be offended at your requests to make a change to pressure, temperature or sound quality. Not ever.
Masks:
Please continue to bring a mask to wear during your session. However, if you need or want face/jaw work, let me know and we can now go over safety protocols for that!
Pricing:
Finally, I have not raised my prices since opening my practice in 2013. I must confess that I have fallen behind when it comes to inflation and operating costs. It is time to try and catch up a bit. I am planning to redo my pricing and aim to roll this out by June 1, 2022. Details to follow.
It has been an extra challenging couple of years. So much pivoting... it feels way more like spinning. I think I do still have some pivots left in me if I need them. Truthfully, I think I'll need them but am so very ready to see a bit more stability on the horizon. I am as grateful as ever for each and every one of you.
As always, I hope to see you whenever you are able and ready to book!!!
