Every recovery is unique, but comfort and support are always essential. 💗

Masthead® bras were originally created for women healing after breast surgery and are now being used in cardiac recovery to support healing and help reduce incision tension after sternotomy.

In published nursing studies, hospitals that included Masthead bras as part of post-operative care reported fewer wound complications and improved patient comfort.

Because every patient deserves to heal with dignity, confidence, and care. 💗

💗 Day 1 at ANCC Magnet & Pathway 💗

What an amazing first day in Atlanta! We’ve loved connecting with nurses, care teams, and healthcare leaders who are passionate about improving patient care and recovery.

Masthead bras were created to bring comfort, support, and dignity to women after breast surgery. Over time, they’ve become a trusted part of post-surgical recovery in more specialties, including cardiothoracic care, where they’re helping support healing after sternotomy and reduce the risk of incision-related complications.

It’s inspiring to hear how teams across the country are integrating post-surgical support into their care pathways and seeing the difference it makes for both patients and outcomes.

If you’re attending ANCC, stop by our booth tomorrow! #2913

Breast Cancer Awareness Month means something different for everyone.

For some, it’s strength and celebration. For others, it’s heavy and complicated. No matter what it means to you, your experience matters. 💗

For us, awareness isn’t a campaign. It’s the reason we design surgical bras that are thoughtfully created to support recovery, provide comfort throughout the healing process, and bring dignity to recovery.

Pink is more than a color. It’s a symbol of care and compassion, and a reminder that support does not begin or end in October. It is something we are committed to every single day. 💗🎀

“I want to remind everyone of one of our most powerful tools - getting familiar with your own anatomy! The more you know your normal, the sooner you can catch when something feels different.” 🫶🏼

What to expect with your first mammogram and tips to make it go smoothly from 💗

- Wear pants or shorts rather than a dress. You’ll feel more covered when you change into a robe!

- If you have on deodorant, they’ll ask you to wipe it off. Throw yours in your purse if you want to reapply when done.

- The actual squeeze may be slightly awkward or uncomfortable, but not painful. If you’re experiencing pain, let your tech know!

- If you have really sensitive breasts or breast pain, take OTC pain relief (Tylenol, Ibuprofen, etc) before you go.

- Find out your family history before you go in case your breast center calculates your risk score.

- Getting your actual films done should take less than 10 minutes for most breast centers

- Make sure you get 3D!

- Ask if your facility is accredited by the American College of Radiology

- Ask how your results will be given. Most centers are moving to a digital patient portal where you’ll see the results instantly when published

- If you have dense breast tissue like 40% of women, you should ask your doctor about supplemental screening.

- If you get called back, DON’T PANIC! Most of these are benign!
