Dr. Caren Baruch-Feldman, Psychologist I believe in living the life you want, not the life you fall into. This is achieved by having a positive outlook, setting realistic and obtainable goals.

Dr. Caren Baruch-Feldman uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help children and adults with depression, anxiety, stress, ADHD and weight loss. She maintains a private practice in Scarsdale, works as a school psychologist in Westchester County and, for many years, was Camp Psychologist at Camp Ramah in Nyack, NY. Caren is an expert in conducting psycho-educational evaluations for children experiencing school-related difficulties. She has also trained hundreds of teachers, parents, children and heath care professionals giving workshops and lectures throughout the country.

“According to Barrett’s research, “people who could distinguish finely among their unpleasant feelings ​— ​those ‘50 shades of feeling crappy’ ​— ​were 30 percent more flexible when regulating their emotions, less likely to drink excessively when stressed, and less likely to retaliate aggressively against someone who has hurt them.”

Put simply, when we can find the right words to label our emotions, we are better equipped to make good choices.

Out now - an excellent workbook for kids ages 7 to 12 by Dr. Caren Baruch-Feldman, Psychologist and Rebecca Comizio at School Psyched,Your School Psychologist.

I can't recommend this book enough! It's great for all kids, but especially those who need extra support as they build their resilience muscles.
