Words cannot express what an impact this man made on EMS in the ELCO area, Lebanon County, and the entire Region. No amount of textbooks could cover the knowledge and experience that Buddy carried with him and proudly taught to those willing to learn some new tricks along the way.

For many of us who worked with Buddy over the years, he left some knowledge, comical stories, a confusing grunt, and a laugh that can’t be unheard.

Chief 140, thank you for the many years of service to our communities and for teaching many of us in the ELCO area.

To the members of the Myerstown First Aid Unit and Keystone Hook & Ladder Company No. 1, our hearts go out to you.

Burn, baby, burn. 🔥

Today, Monday, March 10, Pennsylvania Game Commission staff will be conducting several prescribed burns across Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area.

Do not be alarmed as smoke may be seen on many areas of the property including Wildlife Drive and near the Visitors Center.

Agency staff use prescribed fire as an important wildlife habitat management tool and proves especially useful at Middle Creek with many grassland bird species.

In 2010, Paul Miller was tragically killed when a distracted driver crossed a median and hit his car head-on. He was 21.

With the support of Paul’s mother, an advocate for distracted driving legislation, Governor Shapiro signed Senate Bill 37, also known as Paul Miller’s law, into law.

Effective this June, the new law makes it illegal to hold a mobile device while driving. This includes dialing and answering a mobile device—even at red lights.

Distractions aren’t worth your life or anyone else’s. Don’t drive distracted.
