We are excited to welcome a cohort of Officers, 9-1-1 telecommunicators and clinicians to the 3-day intensive certified peer support training starting Monday. Our very own embedded social worker from Des Plaines Police Department , Ms. Vickie Poklop is hosting this session and we thank Des Plaines Park District for providing us with a venue at their Prairie Lakes Community Center.
We thank our trainers Dan and Tammy Roach from Cornerstone Retreat Center for taking time out from their busy schedules to make this event happen.

We just concluded our first and fabulous 2-day peer support training session at Evanston Fire Department with our incredible trainer from First Responder Peer Initiative- Capt. Tom Howard.👏👍

We are happy to announce the dates for our flagship 3-day peer support training: Oct 28th to Oct 30th.

Conveniently located in Des Plaines, IL at the Prairie Lakes Community Center of Des Plaines Park District.

This is probably the final session for 2024 that's open for our members and member-to-be. Seats are limited as always. We are already at 50% capacity. Please reach out to info@WeNeverWalkAlone.org to register or register online conveniently at https://weneverwalkalone.org/training-registration

There will be a session in November that's exclusive for our MTU #16 (Tri-River region). So, if you are not in Will, Grundy or Kankakee counties, this is probably the final session in 2024. Please register asap to secure your seat(s).

When we started WeNeverWalkAlone peer support and mental health professional network nearly five years ago for the law enforcement community, we had taken a solemn oath not to leave the Telecommunicators by the wayside. We are thrilled to announce that the Cook County Sheriff Office 9-1-1 Center, is now part of the WeNeverWalkAlone program alongside half a dozen other dispatch centers in IL. Additionally, we thank the CCSO 9-1-1 center for extending their facilities for this month's peer support training session at Des Plaines and trusting us with their training needs.
