Ever wondered how stress impacts your brain? Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) provides fascinating insights. Here’s how stress influences brain imaging and common QEEG findings:

🧠 Brain Wave Patterns: Stress can alter brain wave patterns captured by QEEG, showing increased activity in areas linked to anxiety and decreased activity in regions responsible for focus and calm.

🧠 Neural Connectivity: Chronic stress may disrupt neural connectivity seen in QEEG, affecting how different brain regions communicate and coordinate tasks.

🧠 Functional Imbalances: QEEG can reveal functional imbalances due to stress, such as elevated theta waves (associated with daydreaming) or reduced alpha waves (linked to relaxation and creativity).

Understanding these insights can guide stress management strategies, promoting better brain health and overall well-being. Stay informed and prioritize your mental wellness! Want to schedule a QEEG? Give our office a call! (847)558-6160

If you're consuming meat always choose meat that's been raised vs. the meat that's been produced. Yes it's more expensive - and there's a reason. Here's why: Nutrition
Grass-fed beef has fewer calories and less fat than grain-fed beef, and it's also higher in vitamins, antioxidants, and omega-3 fatty acids. Grass-fed beef also contains about twice as much CLA as grain-fed beef, and carotenoid precursors to vitamin A, such as beta carotene.

HOW TO LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE....

1. Listen to your body

That's it.

Your body is the key to your physical, emotional, and mental health.

Your body wants to run at optimum levels, and it knows that you need all parts of the self to be in top condition for that to happen. Think about it...

That gut feeling that something isn't right is normally a warning to stop you being hurt (physically or emotionally).

The little aches and niggles in your body are early signs that your cells aren't getting what they need.

The exhaustion, fatigue, sleep problems are all a cry for help from your body.

But...

Your body is also sending the feelings of absolute joy when you accomplish something difficult, building up your confidence and resilience.

Your body tells you when something feels good, and when it wants/needs more of it.

If you want to live your best life you need only pay attention to your body and the subtle signs it sends as to whether or not you are in alignment with your best self.

If you're having trouble recognizing or interpreting those signs, just shoot me a DM and I'll happily be your translator.

One of the most common problems with treating illness is...

the tendency to mask symptoms with medications, supplements, and sheer determination.

In our attempts to power through and get on with life, work, responsibilities, etc, we often brush off seemingly minor symtpoms as insignificant.

Or, we take a handful of pills or supplements to get rid of symptoms.

The problem with this is that symptoms are there for a reason and are manifestations of Natures Healing Force.

Ailments should not be suppressed.

A Naturopath will encourage the body to promote its innate healing abilities, so you don't need to mask your symptoms, or push your body beyond it's capabilities.

Get in touch to see how you can stop masking and start healing.
