Schaumburg Professional Firefighters Association IAFF LOCAL 4092 The SPFFA ensuring the public' safety.

Our mission is to organize and negotiate with the Village of Schaumburg to provide its Residents, Business Owners, and Visitors a highly motivated, customer oriented Fire & Medical service. The Schaumburg Fire Department along with the SPFFA is a team of professionals that serve with excellence, dedication, and pride; who are committed to saving lives, protecting property, and improving the qualit

y of life for our residents, business owners, and visitors; by providing rapid and reliable services in all emergency and non emergency activities. The SFD/SPFFA personnel will accomplish our mission by participating in this community, providing progressive and comprehensive services, and striving to efficiently utilize all resources to meet the needs of our community. Our manpower includes the Fire Chief, 2 Deputy Fire Chiefs, 1 Fire Marshal, 1 EMS coordinator, 1 Logistics Coordinator, 1Training Director, 1 Public Education Director. 3 Battalion Chiefs, 5 Captains, 16 Lieutenants, and 113 Firefighters . Our manpower is used to provide 24 hour service manning 4 Engines, 2 Ladder Trucks, 1 Heavy Rescue Squad, 4 Advanced Life Support Ambulances and 1 Life Rescue Boat.

Last month, L4092 members trained on bus extrication tactics and strategies, focusing on the unique challenges of large passenger vehicle rescues. From stabilization to patient removal, our crews worked hard to remain proficient and ready for any type of vehicle incident that may arise.

A big thank you to our own Schaumburg Engineering & Public Works Department for providing space in their busy maintenance lot to help facilitate this multi-day drill.

Although we were not victorious, the L4092 hockey team thoroughly enjoyed participating in yesterday's 2nd Annual "Fire on Ice" Hockey Tournament! This event was hosted by the Arlington Heights Firefighters L-3105 and Des Plaines Professional Firefighters Association IAFF Local 4211. Funds raised at the event went towards supporting Shield 23 Foundation Inc and 100 Club of Illinois!

Additionally, thank you to a couple members from Carpentersville Professional Fire Fighters IAFF Local 4790 , St Charles (IL) Professional Firefighters Local 3322, Bensenville Professional Firefighters Local 2968, and for skating with us at yesterday's event!

Welcome home, IL-TF1! We’re grateful for your safe return following a two-week deployment to assist with the rescue and recovery operations down in Texas.

Additionally, we must recognize the families who made sacrifices so their loved ones could help those in need.

There was a long-awaited homecoming and warm welcome for Illinois rescue teams who spent two weeks away from their families to help with recovery after devastating flooding in Texas.

Last week, three L4092 members attended HOT (Hands-On Training) classes at the Firemanship Conference in Aurora, Illinois.

Members attended classes focused on:
- High-Rise Fire Operations
- Elevator Emergency Management
- Machinery Rescue

The brand-new Tower 52 has arrived in Schaumburg! This state-of-the-art apparatus is a key addition to the fleet and will further strengthen our ability to serve and protect the residents and visitors of Schaumburg.

Once it’s ready to be placed in service, Tower 52 will take over frontline duties from Truck 52, which will transition into reserve status.

A special thank you to MacQueen Emergency Solutions and Pierce Mfg for their partnership in making this project a reality!
