Let's reframe the conversation around psychosis. It is not a personal failing. For many, it's a deeply misunderstood echo of past trauma.
To see psychosis as a "break from reality" without asking why that break is happening is to miss the most important part of the story. The brain is often trying to communicate or survive an old wound.
Understanding the link between trauma and psychosis is the first step toward replacing judgment with compassion and effective, trauma-informed care.
