This is an old article, but I like the breakdown of 8 types of self-care because it's so much more than a spa day, you know? And yoga is so much more than physical poses. I've had to focus on baseline needs for a while now, but I'm making plans for 2025. We'll need more self-care than ever, starting today.
The 8 types of self-care listed here are physical, intellectual, professional, financial, spiritual, social, environmental, and emotional self-care. Reading through the article, I can see that I'm pretty consistent about intellectual, professional, financial, and environmental self-care, although there's room for improvement and I feel good about the plans I've been making. Physical, spiritual, social, and emotional self-care all need more work for me; I feel good about the plans I've been making for that, but they feel insufficient.
