Anderson Center for Autism is a proud sponsor of The Especially Everyone Winter Experience!

Join us at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY for a Fully Inclusive Concert by Especially Everyone + The Capitol Theatre

On December 27, 2025, Especially Everyone and The Capitol Theatre will host The
Capitol Theatre’s first, fully inclusive concert – a joyful celebration of music, connection, and the many ways people experience the world.

Presented with co-sponsors FECA (Foundation for Empowering Citizens with Autism) and Good House Social Club, this one-of-a-kind event invites the community to come together for an evening of world-class music intentionally designed for authentic participation and belonging.

Led by the 10-piece Especially Everyone Ensemble – a collective of musicians who model inclusion by bringing together performers with diverse strengths, styles, and abilities – the Experience breaks barriers between stage and audience.

Musicians Robert Randolph, Karina Rykman, and Jennifer Hartswick
will be joining the 10-piece Especially Everyone Ensemble.

Through original compositions and reimagined covers, guests are invited to dance, sing, play, or simply be present in the sound. To ensure everyone feels comfortable and engaged, the event features neuro-informed design elements including:

❄The Listening Lounge (sensory-friendly listening environment)
❄ A Sensory Break Area for quiet recharge
❄ Interactive Sound Stations (provided by Hop!)
❄ Trained staff and volunteers available to assist
❄ New wheelchair access to The Cap’s main floor for the first time

More than a concert, the Especially Everyone Winter Experience is part of a growing movement breaking barriers in live music – proving that inclusion can be both intentional and inspiring.

A Community Circle of local organizations will be featured, highlighting partners advancing accessibility, inclusion, and human connection across our region.

Come as you are — dance, connect, and experience what it feels like when inclusion takes center stage.

Happy Hanukkah from Autism Society Greater Hudson Region

As we celebrate the Festival of Lights, we honor the themes of hope, resilience, and community. Hanukkah reminds us that even small lights can shine brightly—just as inclusion, understanding, and acceptance can make a powerful difference in the lives of Autistic individuals and their families.

Wishing all who celebrate, a joyful Hanukkah filled with light, warmth, and connection.

Anderson Foundation for Autism Awards $5,000 Grant to Autism Society Greater Hudson Region

Schenectady, NY and Staatsburg, New York…The leadership team and trustees of Anderson Foundation for Autism announced today that the Foundation has awarded a grant of $5,000 to Autism Society Greater Hudson Region.
Based in Schenectady, New York, Autism Society Greater Hudson Region is a nonprofit organization that provides resources, support, and opportunities to build community for individuals with autism (and their families) in the 21 New York State counties it serves.

Said Tracy Schober, MPA, Executive Director of Autism Society Greater Hudson Region, “The grant funds from Anderson Foundation for Autism will be used to deliver the BRIGHT (Brave, Resilient, Inspiring Girls Happening Together) program. This initiative offers a safe, fun, and affirming space where autistic and neurodiverse girls can build meaningful peer connections, strengthen self-esteem, and develop essential social-emotional and soft skills for future success.”
“By helping to provide resources necessary for autism-inclusive facilitation, sensory-friendly environments, and individualized small-group support, we expect that this funding will directly enhance the well-being, confidence, and sense of belonging for all that participate in the BRIGHT program. Being selected for this grant is deeply meaningful to the Autism Society Greater Hudson Region, as it affirms our mission and enables us to reach girls who often have limited access to programs designed specifically for them,” Schober explained.
