๐Ÿ’š Because YOU showed upโ€ฆ weโ€™re showing up again! ๐Ÿ’š

Due to the amazing turnout at the Winter Warm-Up events, New Choices Recovery Center will continue attending these library gatherings โ€” and we couldnโ€™t be more grateful for the connection, conversations, and community weโ€™ve already experienced.

These events are all about coming in from the cold, enjoying a safe and welcoming space, and connecting with real resources that support you and your neighbors. Weโ€™ll be there alongside our partners to answer questions, share support, and meet you where you are.

๐Ÿ’š The holidays can bring joy โ€” and still feel really heavy.

If youโ€™re in recovery, this season can come with extra pressure, old triggers, and a lot of emotions. That doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™re failing. It means youโ€™re human.

A few gentle reminders as you move through the holidays:
โ€ข Plan ahead when you can
โ€ข Stay connected to safe people
โ€ข Set boundaries (yes, itโ€™s okay to say no)
โ€ข Ask for help โ€” you donโ€™t have to do this alone
โ€ข Practice gratitude, even in small moments
โ€ข Create traditions that support your recovery

๐Ÿ‘‰ Pause for a moment and check in with yourself:
What do you need right now to stay grounded and well?

Recovery doesnโ€™t stop during the holidays โ€” and neither does support. You deserve peace, safety, and moments of joy this season, exactly as you are.

If you or someone you love needs support, SAMHSAโ€™s National Helpline is available 24/7 at 1-800-662-4357.

๐Ÿ’š You are not alone.
