This is what the movement looks like in action!

Through NASDOH, we've been part of the effort to connect policymakers with a simple truth: access to healthy food is life changing for New Yorkers and could be for all Americans. If the Accountable Produce is Medicine Act passes, it could mean real change for the 3 out of 4 Americans managing chronic disease -- with produce prescriptions integrated into their care, not siloed from it. Here's hoping this moves forward!

We love getting to share wins like this one!

A working single mother reached out to Catholic Charities of Onondaga County needing help with a security deposit and first month's rent so she and her young child could have a safe place to call home. With the right support, they were able to get her into an apartment and give this little family real stability for the first time in years. In her own words: "My 5-year-old cried when I told her we have a new house. She's so happy!"

If you or someone you know is struggling to find stable housing or needs food, help may be available. Getting screened takes just a few minutes and could open the door to support you didn't know existed!

Let’s talk turkey, Watertown! 🦃 We’re teaming up with ModifyHealth , Watertown Urban Mission , and our incredible partners across Jefferson County to bring 1,000 free frozen turkeys to local families with Medicaid.

Join us at the Mayor Joseph M. Butler Pavilion on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. It’s first come, first served with drive-through pickup.

We’ll also be onsite to connect Medicaid Members with free food, housing support, rides to services, and more through our Social Care Network program. Stop by, or share this post with someone who could use extra support this holiday season!
