The Capital Region Vein Centre was founded in 1995 and is the most comprehensive center in Upstate New York for the treatment of patients with varicose veins, spider veins and other related vein problems. The Centre uses the latest state of the art techniques to eliminate your varicose veins and the symptoms they cause as well as restoring the healthy appearance of your legs. Amidst today's over booked medical practices and hard to talk to specialists, the Centre offers a relaxed setting where you are the most important individual. During your initial visit Dr. Fort will evaluate your condition and give you a complete vein examination. Dr. Fort knows that patients requiring treatment may be anxious and have many unanswered questions. Dr. Fort in April 1999 became one of the first doctors in Upstate New York to offer Intense Pulse Light therapy for the treatment of leg spider veins. The Esthetic Laser Centre which now offers not only IPL therapy, but YAG laser for spider veins; FRAXEL for laser resurfacing and facial rejuvenation. The Esthetic center also provides cellulite and fat reduction with VelaShape and has a full time esthetic specialist. Dr. Fort is a vascular and laser surgeon, member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Academy of Esthetic Medicine and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. The Laser Centre continues to research new products and treatments so that we can offer our patients the best available care. All staff members remain current with the latest advances in skin care products and skin rejuvenation procedures. After more than 20 years, Dr. Fort of The Capital region Vein Centre will be permanently closing his office on November 1, 2021. Please contact your health insurer or family doctor for help in choosing another vascular physician. If you've had your veins treated from 2016-2021 and want a copy of your records please call the office at 518.377.1154 during regular business hours of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9-2. There is a $.75 per page copying fee. We sincerely thank you for trusting us with vein health for over 20 years.

We are reopening our office beginning May 11. We know these continue to be difficult economic times and are offering:

FREE consultations
ALL leg sclerotherapy sessions will be $250 (regularly $450 per session)

We will be taking all of the necessary precautions to protect our patients and staff:

Disinfecting all surfaces and medical equipment before and after each patient visit.

Scheduling so there is only one patient in the office at one time.

All of our staff members will be wearing masks and ask all patients to do the same.

To our valued patients. We are all in this together. As always, your health is of major concern to us, so we have closed our office until we are given the go ahead on state and national levels. Once we receive the back to "business as usual" announcement we will open our doors and get back to providing the very best in varicose and spider veins. Have you heard of Sclerotherapy treatments for Varicose Veins?

Sclerotherapy is the injection of a solution into an abnormal vein with a fine needle. This damages the lining of the varicose vein/spider vein causing it to scar down and collapse. The varicose vein, over time is absorbed by the body’s own healing mechanism and is removed from the circulation. Blood is automatically re-routed through normal, healthy veins.
