❄️🎣 **Ice Fishing Adventure!** 🎣❄️

We brought the great outdoors inside for a fun ice fishing adventure with our Senior Living and Memory Support residents! With fishing decorations setting the scene, we watched a camping and ice fishing video that had everyone reminiscing and sharing stories.

Our Memory Support residents stayed cozy with hot chocolate, while our Senior Living residents enjoyed a special whiskey tasting to complete the experience.

Many of our residents had fond memories of fishing — and even ice fishing — while for some, this was their very first “trip” out on the ice! It just goes to show, it’s never too late to try something new or learn how others enjoy their adventures.

What a wonderful way to share stories, laughter, and bring a little outdoor fun to our community! 🧡

A big thank you to **Dunes Hospice** for sponsoring our Giant Lollipop Valentine’s Day craft! 🍭

Our Assisted living and Memory support had so much fun creating their lollipops and filling them up with goodies. It was a wonderful way to celebrate, get creative, and share some smiles together. We appreciate your generosity and support.

Love is in the air at **Residences of Deer Creek**!

Our residents enjoyed cherry amaretto spritzers (or a delicious mocktail!) paired with beautiful charcuterie plates while love songs filled the room. The laughter, conversation, and sweet melodies made for such a special time together.

We’ve even had to add extra seating at our socials lately because so many residents are joining in on the fun 💕 We love seeing our community come together and make memories!

“Ragin’ Cajun” event at Schererville’s Residences at Deer Creek had attendees celebrating Mardi Gras & New Orleans with outstanding Cajun Creole favorites from Chef Vanessa + a wonderful Dixieland-style performance from local trumpeter John “JT” Trimmel. Great songs & some dancing!

✨ Who Am I? Wedding Photo Edition! 💍

Our residents had the BEST time guessing who was in each wedding picture!

From fellow residents, to staff members, and even a few famous couples, there were plenty of laughs, sweet memories, and surprise reveals along the way.

It’s always so special to learn more about each other’s love stories while sharing smiles together ❤️

Touchdown for fun on Super Bowl Sunday! 🏈

Our residents gathered to watch the big game, play commercial bingo, and compete in football trivia.

Whether cheering for a team or just there for the snacks and laughs, everyone had a fantastic time!

Saturday afternoons are the perfect time to watch Olympic figure skating and watercolor.

Some residents remember ice skating on their ponds.

Others, love watching the perfesionals perform to lovely music.

✨ Angels appear when cardinals are near.✨

This week our residents created sweet little homes for their feathered friends by painting birdhouses and adding the cutest cardinals. We had such a wonderful time getting creative together and sharing the special meaning these bright red visitors hold for many of us. ❤️

In honor of **Heart Disease Awareness Month**, we enjoyed a special heart-healthy talk with Amanda from **Traditions Hospice**. ❤️

She shared helpful information, brought along tasty snacks, and topped it off with fun prizes! It was a great afternoon of learning, laughter, and connection for both our residents and staff.
