🚗💥 Whiplash Happens Faster Than You Think 💥🚗

Did you know whiplash injuries happen in 50–80 milliseconds?
That’s 3–4 times faster than your brain can even react. Your neck muscles don’t have time to brace—making proper prevention before an accident incredibly important.

👉 Protect your head & neck with these simple tips:
✔️ Adjust your headrest so the top is level with the top of your head
✔️ Keep your head less than 2 inches from the headrest
✔️ Recline your seat slightly—100–110 degrees is ideal
✔️ Always wear your seatbelt

Even with perfect positioning, rear-end accidents can still lead to pain, stiffness, and injury.

🩺 Good news: Clinical guidelines consistently show that chiropractic care is an effective, conservative treatment for whiplash—helping reduce pain and restore movement.

If you’ve been in an accident or are dealing with neck pain, Crowder Family Chiropractic is here to help you heal safely and naturally. 💙

❄️ Snowy Morning? Shovel Smart & Protect Your Back! ❄️

We somehow managed to have a fresh blanket of snow this morning, and while it’s pretty, shoveling can be tough on your body—especially your back. Before you head outside, keep these quick tips in mind:

✔️ Warm up first – A few stretches can help prevent strains.
✔️ Lift with your legs, not your back – Bend at the knees and keep the shovel close to your body.
✔️ Avoid twisting – Turn your whole body instead of twisting at the waist when tossing snow.
✔️ Take breaks – Don’t rush; slow and steady wins the race.
✔️ Push when possible – Pushing snow is easier on your back than lifting.

If you’re feeling sore or stiff after shoveling, we’re here to help get you moving and feeling better. Stay warm, stay safe, and take care of your spine! 💙

Lifestyle Factors Linked to Low Back Pain. While we normally think of poor posture or improper lifting technique as risk factors for low back pain, lifestyle choices can also set the stage for the condition. In a recent study, researchers found that smoking, alcohol consumption, high body mass index, and dyslipidemia are significantly associated with low back pain, while smoking and physical inactivity are linked to more severe pain and a greater likelihood of progressing to chronic low back pain. PLoS One, July 2025

A published case study showed lasting relief from chronic low back pain through chiropractic care.
By combining spinal adjustments, therapeutic exercise, and lumbar traction, one patient saw significant improvement after just 14 visits—and maintained those results for over two years.
Care that supports durability, not quick fixes.
