Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in Northwest Indiana In today's world, society is focused on convenience, speed and appearances.

Hollywood influences many of us to make changes to our diets, our looks, our style. However, there have been some more enlightened trends that have caught on in recent years as well. People are becoming more health conscious, exercising more and eating a healthier diet. With an increase of gluten and other food allergies, concerns about organic vs. non-organic foods, promoting "green" living and becoming aware of the many toxins our bodies are exposed to on a daily basis, it seems that the approach to healthcare should be evolving as well. At Dr. Torie's Dental Shoppe, we have recognized this need for change and are taking a different approach to dental health. You can certainly have traditional and cosmetic dentistry performed at our office. In fact, Dr. Torie takes great artistic pride in her dental work. Our goal for our patients is to enable them to preserve their dental anatomy and prevent further dental complications. We also understand the oral systemic link between oral health and other risk factors, so we strive to educate our patients regarding these links and focus on the overall health of each patient. For example, we offer non-fluoride options and use natural based products when available. Dr. Torie's Dental Shoppe is also making efforts to be kind to our environment by using biodegradable products, environmentally friendly cleaning products, reducing the amount of disposable goods. There are many other ideas we have to expand on this area of our practice and we're excited to share them with you as our practice grows!

This year we pulled off a Christmas surprise for the greatest woman we all know. Her laugh in this video is pure joy! She makes every day special for us by being the most thoughtful, generous, kind and loving human. She deserves it all and we loved spoiling her, even though it’s a tiny fraction of what she does for us year round. We love you, Torie!

Jackie: she has the best laugh, the loudest foot stomping expressions of joy, the most beautiful smile, the sweetest demeanor, a hilariously varied taste in music, and the sweetest love for her people. We adore her and couldn’t do what we do every day without the effort and energy she gives us all. We are the luckiest group of women to have her in our lives!

The Shoppe will be closed starting Wednesday November 26 so our team can enjoy some relaxation and family time for Thanksgiving. We will reopen on Monday December 1.

This week we’re celebrating your favorite dentist’s birthday! As per usual we showered her with love, got her favorite lunch request, and no celebration is complete without the yearly turkey cake! Her sweet parents baked another delicious treat and we all had a lovely day making our favorite person feel special! Happiest of birthdays to you, Torie, and a million wishes for the healthiest, happiest and most hilarious 365 days ahead! 🎂🎉🩵

One thing about us that will never change: we celebrate everything. Anniversaries, birthdays, exceeding production goals, surviving motherhood and life in general - we live it all together and we love each other through it all. Wu’s House got a taste of our crazy last night. We sang, we laughed, we ate, we got rice and saki shot into our faces by the best hibachi chef ever - Benny!

Shame on me!!!! 🫣🫣🫣
Last week we celebrated Tricia’s work anniversary and I forgot to make a post for her. I am very sorry to my dear friend, you deserve better!
To hopefully make up for it, tonight I will tell you all this:
Tricia recently took time off to celebrate her daughter’s wedding. It was the longest she has been away since we became teammates.
Every day we mentioned how weird it was without her there and how we hoped she was having the best time being The Mother of the Bride.
The first day she was back we celebrated her anniversary the usual way, with a delicious lunch of her choice.
Having her “home” felt comfortable; just better because she was back in our orbit.
And that’s how special Tricia is to all of us.
