Self-Appreciation 🤞🏽. If only y’all knew how my year started out. I was in a dark place but I kept fighting. I didn’t understand what I needed to do next until I got closer to god. I started praying and followed his instructions. I still have a long ways to go but man compare to where I was mentally and physically I can’t do nothing but appreciate myself especially during men’s mental health awareness month. To all my men out there please seek help because that holding that pain in will do more damage mentally then you are aware of. If you are a man of God then seek his guidance and have a conversation with him. He is always listening and watching over you. Us as men go through so much alone because we were raised to hold in and to keep it pushing. The stigma is that it makes a man seem weak when he tries to express himself emotionally especially black men. We need to learn to break this stigma and seek the help that we need. You can’t expect to care for your love ones if you don’t take care of yourself first.
Happy to see this young man thriving after his struggles, love you cousin!
