Our residents always love when Linda Mountain visits — her beautiful music fills our hearts with joy every time! 💕 This week, we were also thrilled to welcome a new volunteer entertainer, Jeff, who wowed us with his many talents and brought plenty of smiles to our community. 😊

Knitting and crocheting offer numerous benefits for seniors, both mentally and physically. These crafts help maintain fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, which can slow the progression of arthritis and other age-related conditions. Mentally, the repetitive motions promote relaxation, reduce stress, and may even help lower the risk of cognitive decline by keeping the brain engaged. We started the week with puzzles and brain games, then enjoyed the wonderful music of Kent & Ron. Later, we welcomed our Family & Friends for a sweet treat of pie and ice cream—all while enjoying more great tunes from Glenn!

Residents at New Haven Schertz shared plenty of laughs during a fun-filled visit from Mr. Twisty! His energy, humor, and balloon art brought joy to everyone—and we loved seeing those big smiles.
