The Ascend crew had a wonderful time at The Hip Kiln today! Everyone enjoyed painting a special ceramic piece. We cannot wait to get them back to show off the finished products! I want to give a special thank you to our amazing staff who assist in making all these memories possible!

How is it almost November already? We get busy and don’t post as much as we would like to, but our group is out and about almost daily in the community participating in events, visiting attractions like the Dinosaur exhibit in Lexington, pumpkin patches, the apple orchard, dining out, and the cinema just to name a few.

Ascend Life also proudly participates in the local community sports leagues. This year they have played basketball, softball, kickball, flag football, and have just recently started a bowling league. We love opportunities to collaborate and participate with other SCL agencies. We appreciate each agency who takes care of coordinating these events for the benefit of all participants. We also appreciate our DSPs for their hard work and dedication to our individuals ensuring they have a fun, safe, and enriching experience in the community every day.

We want to thank LCAN for organizing the trick or treat event at Rocky Hollow today! This was a great event and we loved seeing so many happy faces!! We look forward to next year already.

The Ascend Crew had a very busy week!!! They set up in the community and gave away school supplies to those in need. The participants also shopped for and assisted with donating items to Animal Care Center of Somerset KY. The week was wrapped up with a cookout at Wolf Creek Dam. So proud of our great group. They love helping our community and always have a great time doing so.

What a wild and wonderful day at Kentucky Down Under! 🐐🦘🦜
We got up close with curious goats, bounced around with kangaroos, and made some feathered friends along the way. The animals were just as excited as we were!

After all the fun and furry cuddles, we wrapped up the day with a good old-fashioned cookout—grilled food, cold drinks, and lots of laughs. 🍔🌭🔥

Good company, great animals, and memories we won’t forget!

🎡🎡 Nothing like a day at the Pulaski County Fair🎠🎠

Today we spend the day soaking up the sunshine at the county fair. We want to shout out the Pulaski County Fair for putting on this free event for our participates. From the food to the carousel, there is nothing like seeing our participates having fun and smiling. Making memories like these will be something our participates will cherish forever.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank all our friends and co-agencies in the community for coming out and having the best time with us today!!! It is such a beautiful thing when we can all come together regardless of the names on our shirts to enrich, bring new experiences and value to the people’s lives we all serve. What a pleasure it is to work with all of you♥️. This day would not have been possible without the amazing work and tunes of Turbo Dj Services; who was continually ready throughout to play all our guys and ladies song requests!! So they could dance the day away 🕺 💃. A special thanks to Blanton inflatables who went above and beyond anything we could have ever expected. We are forever grateful and appreciative. Parker’s Mill fire department who showed up in a flash to get our water slides rolling!!! We also want to thank Firebrook park for providing a beautiful space for our event. And the volunteers and staff members from all agencies who showed up and showed out!!! It couldn’t without the upmost respect to Jarrod Barnett and Gary Perry for giving us all this special opportunity to be to apart of this day together.

We got so many lovins from the goats and our participants learned to bottle feed the calves today! We ended the day with a build your own Taco salad fiesta!

The last couple days at Ascend have been super exciting! We had our kickball banquet at Mellow Mushroom for all of the players who participated this season, we had a softball game, we went to the movies and watched the Spider-Man movie, we had a picnic, and we just enjoyed this wonderful weather outside in the sunshine! ☀️
