The Ascend Crew had a very busy week!!! They set up in the community and gave away school supplies to those in need. The participants also shopped for and assisted with donating items to Animal Care Center of Somerset KY. The week was wrapped up with a cookout at Wolf Creek Dam. So proud of our great group. They love helping our community and always have a great time doing so.

What a wild and wonderful day at Kentucky Down Under! 🐐🦘🦜
We got up close with curious goats, bounced around with kangaroos, and made some feathered friends along the way. The animals were just as excited as we were!

After all the fun and furry cuddles, we wrapped up the day with a good old-fashioned cookout—grilled food, cold drinks, and lots of laughs. 🍔🌭🔥

Good company, great animals, and memories we won’t forget!

🎡🎡 Nothing like a day at the Pulaski County Fair🎠🎠

Today we spend the day soaking up the sunshine at the county fair. We want to shout out the Pulaski County Fair for putting on this free event for our participates. From the food to the carousel, there is nothing like seeing our participates having fun and smiling. Making memories like these will be something our participates will cherish forever.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank all our friends and co-agencies in the community for coming out and having the best time with us today!!! It is such a beautiful thing when we can all come together regardless of the names on our shirts to enrich, bring new experiences and value to the people’s lives we all serve. What a pleasure it is to work with all of you♥️. This day would not have been possible without the amazing work and tunes of Turbo Dj Services; who was continually ready throughout to play all our guys and ladies song requests!! So they could dance the day away 🕺 💃. A special thanks to Blanton inflatables who went above and beyond anything we could have ever expected. We are forever grateful and appreciative. Parker’s Mill fire department who showed up in a flash to get our water slides rolling!!! We also want to thank Firebrook park for providing a beautiful space for our event. And the volunteers and staff members from all agencies who showed up and showed out!!! It couldn’t without the upmost respect to Jarrod Barnett and Gary Perry for giving us all this special opportunity to be to apart of this day together.

The last couple days at Ascend have been super exciting! We had our kickball banquet at Mellow Mushroom for all of the players who participated this season, we had a softball game, we went to the movies and watched the Spider-Man movie, we had a picnic, and we just enjoyed this wonderful weather outside in the sunshine! ☀️

Due to Ascend Life being closed tomorrow for the holiday, we celebrated early with our favorite group of firecrackers! Everyone enjoyed eating at Mellow Mushroom together before we went out and enjoyed yard games such as co****le, whiffleball, and many more fun activities!
Thank you to the brave men and women in uniform who have fought for our independence and continue to protect our freedoms every day.

The Lincoln County Fair was so fun today! The Ferris Wheel was a favorite for several in our group. We are very appreciative of The Lincoln County fair board for hosting Friends with Disabilities day. This is a free event and we would like to thank everyone who helped put this event together and all of the sponsors that make it possible. After the fair, they enjoyed a picnic lunch at a park.
