Bring O2X to your Fire Department through FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighter Grant Program.

Since 2001, AFG (Assistance to Firefighters Grants Program) has helped firefighters and other first responders obtain critically needed resources necessary for protecting the public and emergency personnel from fire and related hazards.

Through this funding, eligible departments can access a broad range of O2X programs – including Workshops, On-Site Specialists, Screening and Assessments, and more.

The 2026 AFG application period is expected to open in early spring. Contact an O2X Account Executive to get ahead of the application process.

Full story➡️

At 10 years old, Jack Berry was diagnosed with osteosarcoma—a rare, aggressive bone cancer— which resulted in the amputation of his right leg. Receiving treatment in Boston, he was eventually introduced to Dan Cnossen through the O2X family and the two formed a bond.

In 2009, Dan was deployed to Afghanistan, where during a night mission he stepped on an IED, losing both legs in the explosion. He was later awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor for his actions. Over the next two years, he battled through more than 40 surgeries while transitioning back to civilian life and, as part of his rehabilitation, was introduced to cross-country skiing and biathlon. Embracing the challenge, Dan persevered and ultimately secured a place on the 2014 U.S. Paralympic Team.

At the 2018 Paralympic Games Dan stole the show, remarkably winning one gold, four silver and one bronze medal over a period of eight days earning the honor of Best Male Athlete of The Games. He returned to the Paralympics in 2022, this time to Beijing, China, adding another gold medal to his collection and marking himself as one of the most decorated Paralympic athletes in the history of Team USA.

Now, eight years after his cancer diagnosis and recovery, Jack will join Dan on Team USA at the 2026 Paralympics - having earned a slot on the roster at just 18 years old.

Wishing BOTH our guys the best of luck as they enter into competition over the weekend and into next week.

Be sure to tune into the Biathlon Event (Men’s Sprint Sitting) tomorrow morning at 4:35 AM EST to see Dan compete and the Men’s Cross Country Skiing Event on March 10th at 4:55 AM EST to see Jack compete. Coverage can be found on Peacock.

20 years of excellence.

For two decades, Building Homes for Heroes has been doing what few organizations can — gifting mortgage-free homes to injured veterans and their families, and changing the trajectory of their lives. As they approach their milestone 500th home delivered, we couldn’t be more honored to be in their corner.

Together, we’ve brought world-class human performance resources to over 20,000 veterans and first responders — because those who sacrifice everything deserve nothing less.

Here’s to 20 years of service, and many more to come.

Congratulations, 🇺🇸

Duxbury (MA) Fire Chief Rob Reardon recently joined the O2X Podcast to discuss leadership within the fire service, post traumatic growth, and prioritizing people.

In 2023, after only 6 months of being Fire Chief, Chief Reardon’s department responded to a call which ultimately resulted in the loss of three children.

As the story made national headlines (Google Lindsay Clancy trial), Chief Reardon immediately went to work - prioritizing the mental health of his firefighters.

Listen to his full story covering the importance of relationships, camaraderie amongst first responders, and the mitigation of PTS/PTSD.

Yesterday, in San Antonio (TX), O2X delivered a Mental Performance Optimization workshop to SWAT operators w/ San Antonio Police Department, Austin Police Department, and New Braunfels Police Department.

Operators w/ each agency split the day between the classroom and the shoot house - working hands on w/ Special Operations veterans and O2X Mental Performance Specialists.

The curriculum delivered focused on performance optimization in high stress scenarios, paired with a practical portion directed by SOF veterans, to assist operators in enhancing tactical decision-making under pressure.

Special thanks to Sons of Liberty Gun Works for providing funding to enhance the performance of those who protect our communities.
