Transportation remains one of the most prevalent barriers to accessing treatment for substance use disorder.
We have explored many options to help remove these barriers and we are so fortunate to have found an amazing partner and resource in Uber Health.
At South Shore Peer Recovery, Inc. and Wey of Life Peer Recovery Center, we have implemented a program utilizing Uber Health to provide free, reliable, and respectful transportation to our community members seeking help.
We don’t do this alone. The generosity of our community and the work of our amazing partners at South Shore Health, RIZE Massachusetts and, most recently, the Town of Weymouth / Weymouth Health Department have all played important parts in making this possible.
