Employee of the Year..

2026 Employee of the Year was presented on Tuesday afternoon during our YOS ceremony.

Johnny Barnes was chosen by staff as our 2026 Employee of the year. Johnny shows up every single day and gives 1000%. He is always with a grin and a positive word for those aroun, never grumbling about whatever is asked. As many of you know, Johnny has had a few health challenges the past few months, but you would never know it. He always goes above and beyond for our residents, team or anyone who asks for anything.

The kind statements go on and on truly telling why he so deserves to be recognized.

Congratulations Johnny!!! We are so proud and blessed to have you on our team!

Tuesday afternoon, just before crafts and shortly after lunch, staff and residents were treated to a YEARS of Service ceremony. BHR has 92 employees on the roster. Tuesday celebrated 70 employees that have been employed greater than 1 year. (We thought 52 was a great number last year).

That number speaks volumes to the dedication, loyalty, and steadfastness of our team.

When you see those names and numbers on paper, it is hard to explain what each of these employees means to us. There are just not enough words to express the gratitude and the admiration for these employees that give selflessly of themselves every single day. Are we perfect, no. BUT.. we do care and love on those around us - residents, staff, and families.

This week we celebrate our NSNCW (Nursing Home Week as we shorten it!). We celebrate both residents and staff that make our world a brighter place. This week - MOMENTS IN BLOOM - takes us into flowering crafts and fun celebrations. Paper Loop Flowers, "Blooms" of recognizing employees for all that they do, year of service recognition - staff from 1 year to 33 years, Planting flower pots and a luau on Friday. Lots of fun to follow. Give aways, yummy treats, always good fellowship and THE EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR all rolled into one week of fun.
